Happy New Year!
We hope our families had a wonderful time with loved ones during the
holiday season, and we wish everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous
2022!
We welcome our Montessori families back for another great year and look
forward to working together to ensure our students continue to thrive in a
well-rounded program of Montessori academics and enrichment programs.
On behalf of all our staff, we thank you for your thoughtful Christmas gifts
and warm wishes. We truly appreciate the generosity and support from our
Montessori community.
We are halfway through the school year! The resilience that our families and
students have shown has been truly inspiring. We are grateful for the
cooperation and support that the parents have shown during these times.
We continue to take all measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus
disease in our schools and community. Our thoughts and prayers are with
our families who have been affected by the virus.
We would like to thank Reyes Otero’s family for their generous donation of
desk dividers for the upper elementary students!
To complement what the children are learning during this time, we have
planned some fun activities. We will emphasize the importance of kindness,
compassion, and appreciation for the bonds we share. We wish everyone a
“Happy Day of Hearts!”

A Look Back at December
The Winter Program
Our winter program was an exciting time for our
students to showcase what they have practiced the last
few weeks. The children enjoyed performing the
Christmas songs and dances before the other classes.
We genuinely believe that music, dance, and art are
essential parts of every child’s education.
Pajama and Movie Day
Our pajama party was fun for our children as we
settled in for entertainment-filled holiday activities
by the Christmas tree with cookies and milk.
Secret Santa Gift Exchange and Luncheon
The children enjoyed the delicious Christmas lunch and
were very excited to open their gifts with the rest of the
class.
Thank you to all the parents for understanding and
supporting the changes to our gift exchange tradition.

A Few Friendly
Reminders….
February 21st: Presidents’ Day
Presidents’ Day honors all the past presidents of the
United States.
The third Monday of February has been fittingly selected
to commemorate the birthdays of George Washington,
the first President and Father of our country, and
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president. The latter
dedicated his life to preserving the Union.
The school will be closed on Monday, February 21st in
observance of Presidents’ Day.
Covid-19 Updates
We would like to thank the Montessori community for
their continued cooperation in following the pandemic
guidelines. Although we have learned about encouraging
news regarding the vaccine, we are now facing the
challenge of the highly contagious omicron variant. The
general population is now affected by this virus.
We need to continue being vigilant about following the
protocols, especially in the winter. The teachers and staf
implement these guidelines vigilantly and help the
children practice proper hygiene while at school.
We also request that the parents and guardians wear
masks and practice social distancing while at school.
Donations
We encourage all our parents to donate their
children’s outgrown and gently used uniforms.
Kindly remember that uniforms are mandatory!
We strongly encourage our parents to donate their
child’s used books to our class library.
Reading to children is one of the most effective
ways for solid cognitive development. Our
Montessori program includes a rigorous reading
program, and our teachers are always in search of
exciting books to read to the class.

generous donations of books, toys, and uniforms.

We have posted pictures and videos of our Winter
Program, not to mention the beautiful images of
children as they opened their gifts from Santa.
These are sure to bring a smile to our families.
Cool Wheather
Please remember to send a coat or sweater with
your children. It has been chilly these days, and
we want to keep the children warm when they go
out for playtime. Please don’t forget to label your
child’s jackets with their name.
